Larkspur Notes

Finally a notes app without the clutter. Markdown, tags, done. The search is surprisingly fast.

Opens instantly and stays out of the way. The quick capture shortcut is the reason I switched from my old notes app.

The tags and search save me time. A widget would be welcome.

Finally a notes app that starts quickly and doesn’t ask for an account.

The Markdown preview looks clean, and the shortcuts are easy to remember.

Good app. Please add reminders for notes with a date in them.

Since yesterday it won’t open, the window stays blank.

Plain files on disk, so I’m never locked in. That alone earns five stars.

Runs stable and fast. An export to DOCX would be nice.

Pasting from a word processor drops all the bullet points. I have to fix every list by hand.

Very light, opens right away. The dark mode looks great.

Templates for meeting notes save me a few minutes every morning. Search could handle typos better.

French spell checking is missing. Otherwise the app is pleasant.

Syncing the folder takes a while, and sometimes I can’t see my latest notes on another PC.

Simple, reliable, and it doesn’t nag me to sign up for anything.

The quick note shortcut conflicts with my graphics driver and can’t be changed.

Does what it should, but syncing my folder sometimes takes minutes.

Tried five apps before this one. Tables and code blocks just work, and dark mode is easy on the eyes.

Fast and simple. I miss being able to change the editor’s font size.

Since the update it closes right after the splash screen on my Surface. Reinstalling didn’t help.
