Microsoft Store analytics: downloads, installs and reviews in one place

Partner Center has a lot of reports. Most days you only want to know whether downloads are up, where they're coming from and what people are saying. StoreFast puts that on one page.

For a daily look at how your apps are doing, use the StoreFast dashboard. Everything you check most days is on one page.

  • Every app is on one page with its downloads and installs for the last 30 days, the change from the 30 days before, its rating and its number of reviews.
  • Each app has a daily chart, its top markets and its reviews, for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or all time on Indie and Studio.
  • Reviews in other languages come with an English translation already there.
  • It syncs every day without you doing anything, and re-reads the last week because Microsoft keeps revising recent days.
  • The last 90 days of numbers stay readable even after you stop paying, updated once a week.

What you see

The first page lists your apps. Each one has a small chart of downloads over the last 30 days, the totals for downloads and installs with the change from the month before, the average rating and how many reviews it has. It also shows the version that's live and, when you've sent an update, where that update is in review.

Click an app to see its daily downloads or installs as a chart, its top markets by downloads and its reviews. Pick the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or all time on Indie and Studio. Solo keeps the last 90 days. A review written in German or Japanese shows up in English, marked as translated, and one click shows the original. You can read everything without copying it into a translator.

The numbers come from Microsoft's analytics API, read with the same Partner Center connection StoreFast uses to publish. You connect once, and the sync runs every day.

What's not in StoreFast yet

  • Crash reports. Coming.
  • Replying to reviews. Microsoft's reviews API is documented as not working right now, so no tool can reply through it. Replies happen in Partner Center.
  • Near real-time numbers, demographics and campaign tracking are still in Partner Center.

Or build it yourself

Microsoft's analytics API returns acquisitions, installs, ratings and reviews, signed in with a Microsoft Entra application. If you want the numbers in your own database, that's the way. You'd also be writing the storage, the charts, the daily schedule and the review translations, and dealing with Partner Center answering 429 when you ask for several reports at once. StoreFast already handles all of that.

Who it's for

StoreFast is a good fit if

  • You have one or more apps on the Microsoft Store and want to check on them in a few seconds.
  • You get reviews in languages you don't read.
  • You also want to publish updates from the same place.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want the raw data in your own warehouse. Use the analytics API.
  • You need demographics or campaign numbers, which are still in Partner Center.

Questions

How often do the numbers update?
StoreFast syncs every day. Microsoft publishes downloads about two days late, so a new app or a new connection can look empty at first.
Do I have to publish with StoreFast to see my stats?
No. Connecting Partner Center is enough. Your apps and their numbers show up after the first sync.
Can I reply to reviews from StoreFast?
No. Microsoft's reviews API is documented as not working right now, so no tool can reply through it. You read reviews in StoreFast, in English, and reply in Partner Center.
What happens to my stats if I stop paying?
The last 90 days stay readable, updated once a week. A plan is what you need to keep publishing updates, and Indie and Studio show all of your history.
