Use with a coding agent

Connect Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or another agent to StoreFast. It can check on your apps, edit your Store listing and publish updates, and it asks you before it sends anything to Microsoft.

Connect your agent

Claude CodeCursorCodexOther agents

Run this in your terminal.

claude mcp add --transport http storefast https://storefast.app/mcp
claude mcp login storefast

The second command opens your browser to sign in. Add --scope user to the first one to use StoreFast in every project.

Sign in and choose access

When your browser opens, sign in to StoreFast and choose what the agent can do:

  • See your apps, stats, reviews, listing and settings. Always included.
  • Upload and submit updates. Selected by default. This also lets the agent edit your Store listing and app settings. Deselect it if you only want answers about your apps.

Click Allow. Then try asking "How did my app do this month?" or "Publish MyApp_1.4.0.0_x64.msix to the Microsoft Store."

You approve every submission

Before it submits an update, the agent shows you the app, version, languages and English notes, and waits for your yes. Before it sends listing changes on their own, it shows you what changes and waits the same way. If anything changes after you said yes, it asks again. Nothing reaches Partner Center before that.

Listing edits an agent makes are saved as the same draft you see on the Store listing page, so you can check them there, change them or send them yourself.

Reviews are written by strangers, so StoreFast marks them as data the agent shouldn't follow. A review can't get your agent to ship something.

What your agent can do

Every connection can read:

list_apps
Your apps, the version in the Store, and any submission in certification.
get_app_stats
Downloads, installs, revenue and ratings for 7, 30 or 90 days or all time.
list_reviews
Up to 50 of the newest reviews, in English, filtered by stars, market or date if you like.
get_update_status
Where an update is, with Partner Center's certification status and errors, the link to it in Partner Center, and whether it's waiting for you to publish.
sync_now
Refreshes everything from Partner Center, once every five minutes.
get_listing
Your Store listing with any saved changes, one language in full or all of them at a glance, and the problems that would stop it from sending.
suggest_search_terms
Search term ideas in one listing language. It doesn't change anything.
get_app_settings
An app's writing style, release notes format and emails.
get_account
Your plan and whether the Partner Center connection is working.

Connections that can publish also get these, in the order the agent uses them:

start_update
Starts an update and returns an upload link for the .msix.
finish_upload
Completes the upload and returns your listing's languages.
write_release_notes
Saves the English notes and translates them in your app's writing style. It can also shorten a long changelog first.
submit_update
Submits the update for certification after you approve it. holdPublish: true makes the update wait for you to publish it in Partner Center after certification.
discard_update
Cancels an update that hasn't been submitted.

And these for the Store listing and settings:

update_listing
Changes the title, descriptions, features and search terms in any language, adds or removes new languages, and sets the notes for certification.
upload_screenshot
Returns an upload link for new screenshots.
set_screenshots
Sets the new screenshots in order, or their captions in each language.
translate_listing_missing
Fills the empty fields and captions of other languages in your app's writing style.
discard_listing_changes
Throws away the saved listing changes.
send_listing_update
Sends the listing changes for certification after you approve them. It takes holdPublish like submit_update.
update_app_settings
Changes an app's writing style, release notes format or emails.

Listing changes the agent doesn't send on their own go out with your next update, the same as changes you save on the Store listing page.

Upload links work for an hour and only for that one update or app. The agent sends files with curl, without its sign-in or API key. Updates an agent starts also show up on the app's page, so you can finish one in the dashboard.

Disconnect an agent

In Settings, click Revoke next to the agent under Connected apps, or next to its key under API keys. Access stops right away.

Limits

  • Each connection can make 120 requests a minute. A key shares its limit with the API. Uploading through an upload link doesn't count.
  • Packages can be up to 4000 MB. Release notes can be up to 1,500 characters per language.
  • The listing follows the Store's listing limits. Screenshots are PNG files from 1366 x 768 up to 3840 x 2160, 10 at most.
  • Translations and search term ideas share a daily limit with the dashboard that resets at midnight UTC.
